Nokor Bachey

Following the currents of the Mékong, you'll arrive, after Phnom Penh, in one of Cambodge's most ancient cities, particularly charming, called Kampong Cham. Here you'll discover the cultural, historical, and religious site of Nokor Bachey, located just a few kilometers north of the city center. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu god Vishnu, a member of the Trimurti.

The Bamboo Bridge

Back in Kampong Cham's city center, you'll have the chance to cross the remarkable bamboo bridge that connects the city to the island of Koh Paen, which you've surely spotted from the Mékong. This unique architectural design is destroyed every year in May, as monsoons approach, then rebuilt in January. You'll cross it and discover the pagoda on Koh Paen island.

Phnom Hanchey

You'll then stop about twenty kilometers north of Kampong Cham, still on the Mékong, in the village of Phnom Hanchey. You'll climb steps and reach the summit of a hill where stands the village's great pagoda, where gibbons play with travelers. Perched high above, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of the river. The Pottery Villages of Kampong Chhnang

On the waters of the Tonlé Sap now, the river that connects, from its source, Siem Reap or Battambang, to Phnom Penh, you'll stop, heading toward the capital, at Kampong Chhnang. Here you'll head toward Andong Russey, a village famous for its pottery artisans. A craft passed down through generations for centuries. It's time to stock up on souvenirs !

The Floating Villages of Tonlé Sap

Undoubtedly one of the most enriching experiences of a journey to Cambodge. Though you must be there when water submerges the towering stilts of the floating villages' homes. The Jahan offers you the chance to visit and meet the local populations to share in their daily life.
