Welcome to Kampong Thom at the Mère Siphan Guesthouse!

This fully functional building, constructed using traditional Cambodian architectural styles, offers you a unique experience in the heart of rural Khmer countryside. In this picturesque setting, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the local community by engaging in fun activities such as cooking or teaching.

Program Schedule:

7:00 AM: Breakfast served on-site.

8:00 AM: Morning visit to the local market in Taing Krasaing with a guide or the guesthouse owner.

9:00 AM: Departure for a 2.5-hour village tour by bike, ox cart, or tuk-tuk. The road is lined with small wooden houses with thatched or palm leaf roofs. These traditional Khmer-style houses are nestled beside waterways. During your visit, you will be charmed by the laughter of children and the smiles of local farmers. Further along, you will observe the traditional process of making palm sugar juice, where you will be warmly welcomed to participate in this activity.

12:00 PM: Cooking recipes and cooking class at the guesthouse.
