You'll cover 22 kilometres at a leisurely pace, with several stops along the way to catch your breath and absorb the surroundings. These pauses offer the perfect opportunity to learn about the trades that define Khmer rural communities, where more than 70% of the population lives. You'll witness the morning preparation of Khmer rice noodles, used in the beloved Cambodian dish Num Banh Chok, sample rice wine with its robust alcohol content, participate in drying banana production to taste freshly made batches, and observe the preparation of the celebrated and distinctly pungent prahok—Cambodia's fermented fish staple.
