The Story Behind It

Sombai is the story of a couple who relocated to Siem Reap, dismayed by the absence of a spirit truly emblematic of the city. Wasting no time, they decided to craft their own spirit that would become the city's signature drink. Drawing on their expertise acquired in the islands and using local ingredients, sombai was born and quickly became Siem Reap's beloved local beverage.

An Ecological and Responsible Ethos

Sombai is far more than a commercial spirit venture. It champions the reuse of bottles in good condition, the use of newspaper and canvas bags to combat plastic pollution.

Furthermore, the workshop channels proceeds to local minorities and actively supports the employment of visually and hearing-impaired individuals.
