Soksabike Bicycle Tour

Soksabike invites you to discover Cambodia’s second-largest city, Battambang—and much more. Equipped with a bicycle, you’ll ride through the surroundings of this former colonial town and gain valuable insight into the region’s authentic and traditional trades. A pleasant and enriching half-day excursion.

Leisure time for learning

Your guide will lead the way into the beautiful landscapes surrounding Battambang. From paved roads to country paths, from colonial homes to rice paddies and bamboo forests, you’ll clearly see the striking contrast between urban and rural life—each with its own unique charm.

You’ll follow a 22-kilometre route punctuated by several stops, giving you a chance to catch your breath. During these breaks, you’ll learn more about some of the typical and widespread trades found in Khmer rural areas, where over 70% of the population lives. You’ll witness the morning preparation of Khmer rice noodles—used in the iconic Cambodian dish Num Banh Chok—observe the making of strong rice wine, and even take part in the production of dried bananas, which you’ll get to taste. You’ll also get a close look at the preparation of the famous and much-debated prahok, the fermented fish paste.
