Located in a peaceful neighborhood of Siem Reap, Theam's House is the home-studio-training center-gallery of Cambodian artist and designer Lim Muy Theam. A place that serves as both residence and workspace, this beautiful residence with traditional architecture welcomes the public. During your visit, you'll admire a unique collection of art and craftsmanship that perfectly reflects the cultural identity of Cambodge and discover the works of a talented and passionate creator who masterfully blends tradition with modernity.

A Glimpse of History

Born in Takeo, Theam was just a child when he arrived in France in 1978 among thousands of refugees fleeing Cambodge. A graduate of the prestigious Boulle School and the Beaux-Arts de Paris, he returned 15 years later to contribute to the reconstruction of his homeland ravaged by years of war. Since then, he has tirelessly worked toward the revival of Cambodian craftsmanship. After first founding Artisans d'Angkor, he went on to pursue a more personal project that led him to transform his home into a single space where he could celebrate Khmer art and craftsmanship, pass on his knowledge to young apprentices, and continue his creative work.
