Bus companies

There are several bus companies in Cambodia.

The Sorya and Capitol companies are the cheapest, as they tend to be slower because they make frequent stops to pick up locals along the way in order to maximize the profitability of their routes.

Two other, more luxurious bus companies are available: Mekong Express and Giant Ibis, which offer better on-board services and a much faster journey—around 2 hours less—but with a corresponding price increase.

Expect to pay between $6 and $7 for a Phnom Penh to Siem Reap ticket with Capitol or Sorya, compared to $13 to $15 for a trip with Mekong Express or Giant Ibis.
