The golden light of morning caresses the towers of Angkor Wat while the giant roots of Ta Prohm embrace centuries-old stones. Phnom Penh reveals its royal palaces and colorful markets, before Sambor Prei Kuk unveils its pre-Angkorian temples swallowed by tropical forest. Gondolas glide across the Tonlé Sap at sunset, then the sacred waterfalls of Phnom Kulen offer their natural pools of crystal-clear water.
The journey follows the traces of the Khmer empire, founded in 802 by King Jayavarman II in the sacred mountains of Kulen, before radiating from Angkor for six centuries. The artisans of Banteay Srey carved pink sandstone with unparalleled finesse, while Buddhist monks perpetuate their blessings in pagodas with gilded roofs. On the islands of the south, white sand beaches bordered by coconut trees succeed the floating villages of Kampong Kleang.

Welcome by your driver upon arrival at the airport. Transfer and check-in at your hotel. Rest of the day free. Rooms available from 2:00 PM. If you arrive a bit early and your room is not yet ready, you can drop off your luggage at the reception before going for a stroll in town or relaxing by the pool.
To conclude this day, a boat trip on the Tonlé Sap for an atypical view of Phnom Penh and dinner on the water after sunset. Day without English-speaking guide.
Phnom Penh, vibrant capital and evening food tour
Let's discover the famous Wat Phnom which gave its name to the capital. The "pagoda of the hill" is the highest point in Phnom Penh.
We then visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, true jewels of Khmer architecture built in the middle of the 19th century.
The dress code for the Royal Palace is quite strict: shoulders and knees must be covered.
We then visit the National Museum and discover one of the most important collections of Khmer art: 14,000 sculptures and ethnographic objects, mostly from the temples of Angkor. This jewel of Khmer architecture was built between 1917 and 1920, and features a magnificent interior courtyard, a truly lush garden surrounded by the museum's unique pieces.
Take advantage of the day to visit one or more iconic markets in the city:
- The Central Market, known as Phsar Thmei, is a vast art deco dome-shaped building, teeming with life and colors. It is a lively place where you can find a wide variety of products, ranging from clothing to fresh food products, as well as handcrafted souvenirs.
- The Russian Market, or Phsar Toul Tom Poung, is a popular and vibrant market renowned for its varied offerings of clothing, accessories and local products. It is also an excellent place to discover authentic Cambodian food products and souvenirs at affordable prices.
- The O'Russei market, also known as Phsar O'Russei, is a lively shopping center where you mainly find wholesale products, clothing and various items. This market, less touristy than others, offers an authentic experience of daily life in Phnom Penh and is ideal for finding unique bargains at interesting prices.
Note: Markets close early. Expect to see stalls closing from 4:30 PM.

Set off on a 4-hour culinary adventure aboard a tuk-tuk, guided by a passionate local expert. Explore bustling markets, taste regional specialties and discover the secrets of local cuisine at each stop. The tour concludes gently with a drink followed by a meal at a typical restaurant, to savor the conviviality of the place.
Sambor Prei Kuk, "the temple of the lush forest"
Road transfer to Siem Reap, the city-province that hosts among other things the magnificent temples of Angkor. An unmissable destination par excellence, the city also borders the equally famous Tonlé Sap Lake and its floating villages.
On the road, at the junction of national roads N6 and N7, be adventurous to fully enjoy a brief "gastronomic" stop in the town of Skun, famous for its spiders and grilled insects.
On the way, at the edge of Kampong Thom, let's discover the formidable pre-Angkorian temples of Sambor Prei Kuk. This archaeological site has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2017, thanks to its status as a former capital during the period preceding the rise of the Khmer Empire that would settle in Angkor a few centuries later. The majestic temples of Angkor and gondola ride at sunset
Day visit by tuk-tuk to the wonderful Angkor temples located around and inside the Angkor Thom enclosure. We discover in particular Angkor Wat, symbol of the height of the Khmer Empire during the Angkorian era.
Within the Angkor Thom enclosure, discover Bayon and its numerous towers with gigantic faces, Baphuon and its gigantic 40m reclining Buddha statue, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace and its great diversity of sculptures as well as the Terrace of the Leper King.
We conclude with Ta Prohm famous for its immense trees with tentacular aerial roots. We can end this day with a sunset either at Srah Srang, or from the heights of Pre Rup or Phnom Bakheng if you are ready to brave the crowds (warning: Phnom Bakheng is off-limits to children under 12 years old and authorities limit access to 300 people at sunset, creating a queue)
Due to an already busy schedule, we deliberately skip a few secondary temples of the small circuit such as Banteay Kdei, Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda or Ta Keo. If you wish to visit these sites, do not hesitate to inform your guide at the start of the day so he can best arrange the schedule.
Possibility to do the visits in reverse order to avoid crowds. You just need to tell your guide at the start of the day.
Temples are sacred places, avoid short clothing, you must cover your shoulders and wear long pants or a long skirt.
In order to preserve these fragile monuments, it is forbidden to touch the sculptures or sit on temple elements.
In Cambodian culture, it is offensive to misbehave inside a sacred place, calm and respect are key.
It is not recommended to buy items or sweets from child vendors, this only encourages begging and school truancy. Prefer a donation to an association if it is close to your heart.
If you wish to photograph the monks (called Bonzes), you must obtain their permission beforehand. Moreover, you must absolutely not touch them, they have the right to touch you but not the other way around.
At the end of the day, we board the Tonlé Oum river, which frames the ancient city of Angkor Thom, to enjoy a wonderful sunset. From the Sacred Mountain to the Pink Sandstone Citadel
The rivers flowing through Angkor originate in the Phnom Kulen mountain. It is in this vast natural site that the Khmer kingdom was born in 802, proclaimed by King Jayavarman II who made his country independent from Javanese rule. We therefore invite you to visit the cradle of the Khmer Kingdom. In the morning, we travel by road to the summit of Phnom Kulen or "mountain of lychees," a pilgrimage site for Cambodians thanks to the presence of a large statue of the Reclining Buddha. A refreshing swim in the natural pool of a beautiful waterfall rewards your effort.
In the afternoon, continue with a visit to Banteay Srey, a temple on a human scale compared to the gigantic Angkor Wat or Bayon. This pink sandstone temple nicknamed "The Citadel of Women" is known for the refinement of the bas-reliefs and sculptures that adorn its walls and columns. Your discovery continues with a visit to the Banteay Samre temple depending on time remaining.
Return to the city and free time for the rest of the day.

Hotel departure at 7:30 AM for a morning dedicated to learning Khmer cuisine with a chef who will share all their secrets to prepare delicious local dishes. Lunch is included with the course.
With your guide, enjoy your visit to Aranh Sakor Pagoda just a short distance from Siem Reap to participate in a Buddhist sacred ritual. Receive a purifying blessing under the sign of water that will bring you good luck. This blessing is a Khmer practice dating back thousands of years. It takes place inside the pagoda and begins with the harmonious chanting of monks. A way to wish you good luck, safe travels, and a long life. This is followed by a longer ritual still marked by the refrain of the bonzes who this time apply holy water to your face. At the end of the ritual, the monks adorn your wrist with a red bracelet, a sign that the blessing has been properly performed. Practical information: -What you should bring: Take a change of clothes and a towel to dry yourself after the water blessing. -Dress code: Dress appropriately by covering your knees and shoulders.

The floating village of Kampong Kleang & gentle night on the banks of the Mekong
In the morning, return by road to Phnom Penh, capital of Cambodge. We first head towards the village of Kampong Kleang located on Tonlé Sap lake, approximately 1 hour 30 minutes by car from Siem Reap.
We board a private boat there to discover and visit the floating village.
Near the capital, we stop at Balé, a hotel on the banks of the Mekong whose peaceful atmosphere and personalized service offer a refined retreat in a modern Khmer setting.

After breakfast and checking out of our room, we return by boat to Sihanoukville. The boat departure is scheduled for 9:30 AM.

Upon our arrival in Sihanoukville, a driver will await us at the pier for a final transfer to Phnom Penh via the country's only highway.

Free time before our transfer to Phnom Penh International Airport. We will need to check out of our room before noon. If our flight is in the evening, we can leave our luggage at the hotel reception for one last stroll around town. Optional: if the flight is after 4:30 PM-5:00 PM, it is possible to save one last night in the capital by going directly to Phnom Penh International Airport from Sihanoukville.

Passport
To enter Cambodia, your passport must be valid for a minimum of six months after your date of entry into the country and must contain at least two blank pages for immigration stamps.
The document must be in good condition (no damaged, torn or altered pages).
Tourist visa
Entry requirements for Cambodia depend on your nationality. A visa may be required. You should verify the specific conditions with the embassy or consulate of Cambodia in your country of residence, as well as with the authorities of your own country.
The following options are generally available for obtaining a visa:
an electronic visa (e-Visa), which can be requested online before departure through the official Cambodian government portal, valid for 30 days from your date of entry;
a visa on arrival, available at major entry points (international airports in Phnom Penh and Siem Reap, as well as certain land border crossings), also valid for 30 days;
a visa obtained from the Cambodian embassy or consulate in your country of residence before departure.
An extension of an additional 30 days can generally be requested on site with the Cambodian Immigration Department.
The authorities may also request:
an outbound travel ticket (return flight or onward journey),
proof of sufficient financial resources for the duration of your stay.
Arrival form
Travellers may be asked to complete an arrival form provided by the Cambodian authorities, either online before departure or upon arrival depending on the entry point. This form collects information such as:
passport details,
flight or transport details,
the address of your first accommodation in Cambodia.
It is advisable to keep a digital confirmation or printed copy of any document submitted online, which may be requested when passing through immigration.
Health and vaccinations
No vaccinations are officially required to enter Cambodia. However, certain vaccinations are recommended by health authorities:
hepatitis A and hepatitis B,
typhoid,
rabies (in case of prolonged stay or travel to rural areas),
update of routine vaccinations (diphtheria, tetanus, poliomyelitis, measles).
Antimalarial preventive treatment may be advised depending on the regions you plan to visit and the length of your stay. It is recommended that you consult a doctor or international vaccination centre before departure.
Travel with children
Minors must hold their own valid passport covering the duration of the stay, as well as an individual visa.
Depending on your country of residence, a parental authorization for exit from the territory may be required when a minor travels without one of their parents.
