The spirit of travel
The golden light of morning caresses the towers of Angkor Wat while the giant roots of Ta Prohm embrace century-old stones. Phnom Penh unveils its royal palaces and colorful markets, before Sambor Prei Kuk reveals its pre-Angkorian temples swallowed by tropical forest. Gondolas glide over the Tonlé Sap at sunset, then the sacred waterfalls of Phnom Kulen offer their pools of crystal-clear water.
The journey follows the traces of the Khmer empire, founded in 802 by King Jayavarman II in the sacred mountains of Kulen, before radiating from Angkor for six centuries. The craftsmen of Banteay Srey already carved pink sandstone with unparalleled finesse, while Buddhist monks perpetuate their blessings in pagodas with gilded roofs. On the southern islands, white sand beaches bordered by coconut trees succeed the floating villages of Kampong Kleang.
This Khmer land engraves in memory the striking contrast between the stone faces of the Bayon and the gentleness of tropical shores.

Phnom Penh, vibrant capital and evening food tour
Day trip by tuk tuk
Let's discover the famous Wat Phnom which gave its name to the capital. The "pagoda of the hill" is the highest point in Phnom Penh.
We then visit the Royal Palace and the Silver Pagoda, true jewels of Khmer architecture built in the mid-19th century.
The dress code for the Royal Palace is quite strict: shoulders and knees must be covered.
We then visit the National Museum and discover one of the most important collections of Khmer art: 14,000 sculptures and ethnographic objects, mostly from the temples of Angkor. This jewel of Khmer architecture was built between 1917 and 1920, and features a magnificent interior courtyard, a truly lush garden surrounded by the museum's unique pieces.
Take advantage of the day to visit one or more iconic markets in the city:
- The Central Market, known as Phsar Thmei, is a vast art deco dome-shaped building, bustling with life and colors. It is a lively place where you can find a wide variety of products, ranging from clothing to fresh food products, as well as handcrafted souvenirs.
- The Russian Market, or Phsar Toul Tom Poung, is a popular and vibrant market renowned for its varied offerings of clothing, accessories and local products. It is also an excellent place to discover authentic Cambodian food products and souvenirs at affordable prices.
- The O'Russei market, also known as Phsar O'Russei, is a bustling shopping center where you mainly find wholesale products, clothing and various items. This market, less touristy than others, offers an authentic experience of daily life in Phnom Penh and is ideal for finding unique bargains at interesting prices.
Attention: Markets close early. Expect to see stalls closing from 4:30 PM.
Hotel departure at 5:30 PM
Set off on a 4-hour culinary adventure aboard a tuk-tuk, guided by a passionate local expert. Explore bustling markets, taste regional specialties and discover the secrets of local cuisine at each stop. The tour concludes gently with a drink followed by a meal at a typical restaurant, to savor the conviviality of the place.

Sambor Prei Kuk, "the temple of the lush forest"
Road transfer to Siem Reap, the city-province that hosts, among other things, the magnificent temples of Angkor. An essential destination par excellence, the city also borders the equally famous Tonlé Sap Lake and its floating villages.
On the road, at the intersection of national roads N6 and N7, be bold to take full advantage of a brief "gastronomic" stop in the town of Skun, famous for its spiders and grilled insects.
On the way, at the edge of Kampong Thom, discover the formidable pre-Angkorian temples of Sambor Prei Kuk. This archaeological site has been inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since July 2017 and owes this status to its position as a former capital during the period preceding the rise of the Khmer empire which would establish itself at Angkor a few centuries later. Once you arrive at your destination, we settle you into the hotel; the rest of the day is free.

The majestic temples of Angkor and gondola tour at sunset
Day visit by tuk tuk of the wonderful Angkor temples located around and within the Angkor Thom enclosure. We discover in particular Angkor Wat, symbol of the apex of the Khmer Empire during the Angkorian era.
Within the Angkor Thom enclosure, discover Bayon and its numerous towers with gigantic faces, Baphuon and its gigantic 40m reclining Buddha statue, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of Elephants and its great diversity of sculptures as well as the Terrace of the Leper King.
Conclude with Ta Prohm famous for its immense trees with sprawling aerial roots. We can end this day with a sunset either at Srah Srang, or from the heights of Pre Rup or Phnom Bakheng if you are ready to brave the crowds (warning: Phnom Bakheng is off-limits to children under 12 years old and authorities limit access to 300 people at sunset, creating a queue)
Due to an already busy schedule, we deliberately skip a few secondary temples on the small circuit such as Banteay Kdei, Thommanon, Chau Say Tevoda or Ta Keo. If you wish to visit these sites, do not hesitate to inform your guide at the beginning of the day so he can best arrange the schedule.
Possibility to do the visits in reverse order to avoid crowds. You just need to indicate this to your guide at the beginning of the day.
The temples are sacred places, avoid short clothing, you must cover your shoulders and wear long pants or a long skirt.
In order to preserve these fragile monuments, it is forbidden to touch the sculptures or to sit on temple elements.
In Cambodian culture, it is offensive to fool around inside a sacred place, calm and respect are the key words.
It is not recommended to buy items or sweets from child vendors, this only encourages begging and truancy, prefer a donation to an association if it is close to your heart.
If you wish to photograph the monks (called Bonzes), you must obtain their permission beforehand. Also, you must not touch them, they have the right to touch you but not the other way around.
At the end of the day, we board the Tonlé Oum River, which frames the ancient city of Angkor Thom, to enjoy a wonderful sunset. On our private gondola we will take advantage of incomparable charm, inherent to this archaeological site, for this peaceful ride after our day of sightseeing. Beverages on board not included.

From the Sacred Mountain to the Pink Sandstone Citadel
The rivers that flow through Angkor originate in the Phnom Kulen mountain. It is in this vast natural site that the Khmer kingdom was born in 802, proclaimed by King Jayavarman II who made his country independent from Javanese rule. We therefore invite you to visit the cradle of the Khmer Kingdom.
We drive up the road to the summit of Phnom Kulen or "mount of lychees", a pilgrimage site for Cambodians thanks to the presence of a large statue of the Reclining Buddha. A refreshing swim in the natural pool of a lovely waterfall rewards your effort.
In the afternoon, continue with a visit to Banteay Srey, a temple of human proportions compared to the gigantic Angkor Wat or Bayon. This temple in pink sandstone, nicknamed "The Citadel of Women," is renowned for the refinement of the bas-reliefs and sculptures that adorn its walls and columns. Your discovery continues with a visit to Banteay Samre temple depending on remaining time.
Return to the city and free time for the rest of the day.
Massage session to end the day: Between well-being and indulgence, take advantage of treatments and massages provided by the expert hands of Bodia Spa, an establishment renowned for the quality of its services and the attention paid to staff training.
