A Family-Run Enterprise

Green Jungle Trekking is led by Rithy and Sokha, two brothers born in a village deep within this Ratanakiri jungle. They now know these lands like the back of their hands. You will most often encounter Rithy first, primarily due to language accessibility. He speaks English and has learned French, and he is also able to communicate in certain languages spoken by the ethnic groups of the region, facilitating easy communication and dialogue between you and the local inhabitants. Rithy studies business management on weekends at one of the universities in Banlung, the largest city in Ratanakiri. The revenues from Green Jungle Trekking allow him to finance his studies. He balances work with passion, as he and his brother share a deep love for the nature and environment of their region. During your trek, the brothers will lead you to meet other indigenous guides. They will teach you forest survival secrets, including how to fish with nets, how to forage for excellent vegetables, and how to build rafts for traveling downriver.
